[Excerpts] Former Avon Park police officer Adam Wayne Willis has again found himself on the wrong side of the law. Willis, 31, was arrested Thursday on a misdemeanor charge of battery. He was released on a $500 bond. Also arrested was Dallas Carlo Willis, 28, on the same charge. He and Adam Willis are brothers. Sheriff's deputies arrived at Dallas' Avon Park home in reference to a domestic dispute. Dallas told law enforcement he and Adam were involved in a "wrestling match" following an argument Dallas was in with Adam's girlfriend, according to the arrest report... The woman said she and Dallas were arguing because of the way he treats his girlfriend, who is the sister of Adam's girlfriend, the report stated. In November 2008, Adam Willis was arrested for allegations of police misconduct following an investigation by the Avon Park Police Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. He was charged with armed burglary of a structure or conveyance and grand theft of more than $300. Willis is set for a pretrial conference April 22 on the burglary and theft charges. The next day, he'll appear for the battery charge. [Full article here]

Willis has also intimidated and threatened people in this town on many occasions. Abuse of power is an understatement with him. Glad to see him off the force, he needs to be behind bars!
ReplyDeleteThis is not the Willis I know. Sure he is a little cocky but I just can't believe he would steal.
