[MS] Police say that Officer Vonquita Tobias shot acquaintance who was attacking her in a domestic violence incident today

[Excerpts] An off-duty Jackson police officer reportedly shot an acquaintance this evening... Precinct 2 officer Vonquita Tobias “was allegedly defending herself from attack during the course of a domestic dispute when she shot 31-year-old Terry Kaho in the foot,” JPD spokesman Lt. Jeffery Scott said in a news release... Tobias was arrested and charged with domestic violence and taken to the Hinds County Detention Center, police said. Kaho will also be arrested on a domestic violence charge on his release from the hospital... [Full article here]
