SPOKANE - A seven-year veteran of the Spokane County Sheriff's Office was placed on leave by Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich after the deputy was arrested on an assault charge. The deputy, Tom Litts, was allegedly involved in a dispute with his wife at their Medical Lake home on March 25th... Late Thursday evening Cathy Litts, Deputy Tom Litts' wife, made the following statement about her husband's arrest on the fourth-degree assault charge: "In regards to the incident involving my husband he did not physically assault nor attack me. He has never laid a finger on me. After an investigation conducted by the Spokane Police Department I was personally informed by Captain Goodwin of the Sheriff's Department that there was no probable cause for charges to be filed nor has Tom violated any departmental policies. He was being cleared of any internal or criminal charges"... [Full article here]
