ALLENTOWN ROOKIE POLICE OFFICER CHARGED WITH ASSAULT

A rookie Chester County police officer was arrested earlier this month after allegedly assaulting his wife in his Allentown home, police said. Reynaldo Pierluisse, 25, of 1619 W. South St., was arrested Oct. 11 after he allegedly struck his wife with an unknown object, Allentown Police Capt. Stephen Mould said. He was charged with simple assault and harassment, he said. He posted bail on Oct. 12. Police said they were called to his home at 9:43 p.m. He allegedly got into an argument with his wife, Xiomara, and struck her with an object, causing a visible injury, Mould said. According to the Daily Local News in Chester County, Pierluisse is a rookie police officer with the Coatesville Police Department and a former Lehigh County sheriff's deputy. [LINK]
