NO INDICTMENT IN STACY PETERSON DISAPPEARANCE

A special Will County grand jury has completed its work without handing up an indictment in the disappearance of Stacy Peterson. The same panel issued a May 7 first-degree murder indictment against her husband, Drew, for the 2004 drowning death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio. State's Attorney James Glasgow confirmed Wednesday the grand jury's 18-month tenure ended Tuesday, two days earlier than anticipated, without further action. Members also heard evidence in the unrelated 2007 suspicious disappearance of Lisa Stebic, 38, of Plainfield, who grew up in Libertyville. Prosecutors said both investigations still are ongoing and a regular grand jury that meets weekly still could be used to indict...
