Cleveland patrolman Jionta Gary was indicted today on charges of felonious assault, kidnapping, intimidation of a crime victim and domestic violence. Prosecutors say Gary, 23, argued with his 23-year-old girlfriend at their home April 9, when he choked her and punched her in the eye, leaving her unconscious. When she came to he said he was going to work and if he lost his job, he was going to kill her, prosecutor's spokesman Ryan Miday said. She underwent surgery for a fractured left eye socket. Gary received three warnings for improper behavior while he was training to be an officer. He will be arraigned May 15. [LINK]

A Cleveland Police Officer is facing a list of charges after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend. Jionta Gary was indicted Monday on charges of Felonious Assault, Kidnapping, Intimidation of Crime Victim, and Domestic Violence. The Cuyahoga County Prosecutors office says Gary choked and punched his 23-year-old girlfriend at their home, on April 9th. The alleged incident left the victim unconscious.
