TRIALS SET FOR FATAL ACCIDENT, JAILER CHARGED WITH DOMESTIC ASSAULT

[Excerpt] ...In a separate case, former Hall County corrections officer David E. Haynes, 49, is charged with terroristic threats, using a handgun to commit a felony, strangulation and misdemeanor third-degree assault for a Nov. 28, 2008, incident. According to police, David Haynes pointed a gun at his stepson, Nicholas Holder, and threatened to shoot him. He also choked his wife, Stephanie. At the time of the incident, Haynes worked at the jail. He is no longer employed there. Jury selection for his trial is scheduled for June 8 with the trial to start the following day...
