DAYTON, Ohio -- A Dayton police officer arrested overnight on domestic violence was released without any charges being filed. Michael Lawson, 30, who is an officer at Dayton International Airport, was arrested at a home on Deeds Avenue after an apparent fight with a woman. Lawson had initially been charged with unlawful restraint. Police said the woman was not injured. This incident comes within two months of when Dayton officer Phillip Mordick was charged with domestic violence and aggravated menacing. Mordick was placed on restricted employment status until the case is resolved and had to turn in his gun after his March 6 arrest. [LINK]
