COURT SECURITY OFFICER CHARGED WITH ASSAULT

A state court security officer often assigned to the Concord District Court was arrested Aug. 12 by the Concord police and charged with physically assaulting his wife. Frank Lass, 73, of Peabody Street, is charged with one count of simple assault. According to a police report, Lass grabbed his wife by the hair and dragged her down a set of stairs after finding her looking through his drawers for her iPod Shuffle. Lass then pulled his wife into a room off the kitchen and pushed her backward over a shelf, the report said. The woman told the police that Lass often hides her iPod and she was trying to find it while he was asleep, the report said.
