[Excerpts] Former Leesville Police Chief Bobby Hickman was arrested on several charges Tuesday after a complaint of domestic abuse... Hickman was charged with domestic abuse, unauthorized entry into an inhabited dwelling, remaining after being forbidden and criminal damage to property after deputies received a call from a Pine Hill Manor Road residence. "The complaint came from the residence of Hickman's estranged wife... The call was sent to (Leesville) city police first. Since Hickman is a former police chief of Leesville, the investigation was given to us." Hickman was arrested and bonded out Tuesday, Hilton said. [Full article here]

[Excerpts] Former Leesville Chief of Police Bobby Hickman has been arrested for domestic abuse battery and three other charges, according to the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office.... Deputies arrested Hickman for unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, domestic abuse battery, criminal damage to property and remaining after forbidden. While enroute to the sheriff's office, Hickman complained of chest pains and was transported to Byrd Regional Hospital. At around 3 or 4 a.m. Tuesday morning, he was released from the hospital and transported to the Vernon Parish jail where he was officially charged. His bond amounts are $5,000 for the unauthorized entry charge; $2,500 for the domestic abuse battery charge; $350 for remaining after forbidden; and $550 for criminal damage to property. [Excerpts] Leesville Chief of Police Bobby Hickman has been terminated from his position as Leesville Chief of Police... as a result of Hickman's "failure to cooperate with the ongoing investigation" being conducted by the City of Leesville... referring to Hickman's involvement with former Leesville city police officer Charlie Lopez, who plead guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute Dihydrocodeinone and one count of distribution of anabolic steroids in Lake Charles federal court Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010. Lopez also admitted to providing Hydrocodone and Valium to Hickman in return for promotions and overtime... [Full article here]
