[TX] SAPD Officer Garcia arrested for breaking disabled son's jaw

San Antonio Cop Arrested for Injury to a Disabled Person
WOAI, TX - May 7, 2008
The San Antonio Police Department tells News 4 one of its own was arrested Tuesday. Police Officer Jorge Isaac Garcia, a 1 year veteran, was arrested for Injury to a Disabled Person, according to the police department. It's alleged to have occurred in Cibolo, TX. According to the release from SAPD: "The victim, the officer's son, was treated at a San Antonio hospital for a broken jaw. Through the investigation process, Cibolo Police applied for, and was granted, an arrest warrant, charging the officer." "Officer Garcia was taken into custody by SAPD without incident, and then turned over to Cibolo Police." "Garcia will be placed on administrative duty, pending the outcome of both the criminal and administrative investigation."

    1. The case was dismissed...there was no evidence as to if the officer caused the injuries....it was a circumstancial case.

  5. In case any one is wondering this case was dismissed for lack of evidence. The state had no evidence against Officer Garcia.

  6. What lack of evidence? They couldn't find the x-ray? For some reason did family members not cooperate with investigation / charges? Is that the lack of evidence?
