[Excerpts] A Lincoln Heights auxiliary police officer was jailed today on a $10,000 bond after his estranged wife told police he pulled her to the ground by her hair and assaulted her. Landell Collins, 38, of Hartwell, was arrested early today and charged with domestic violence. His estranged wife, Linetta Clark-Collins, told police her husband arrived Tuesday at the Amberley Village home where she has been staying since the couple split. He was picking up their 4-year-old son. As she was placing the boy in his car, she told police, her husband became angry and began menacingly waving a cell phone in her face. Believing he was going to hit her with the phone, she grabbed it and ran toward the house. "I was grabbed by the hair before I got to the door and pulled down to the ground where I scrapped my elbow, back and foot as well as breaking a couple of fingernails," she told police. "I fought off his attack striking him several times before he finally got off me, taking his phone back and leaving"... Hamilton County Municipal Court Judge John Burlew ordered Collins held on a $10,000 unsecured appearance bond that requires only his signature... The judge also ordered Collins to surrender his service gun, to carry no weapons while the case is pending and to stay away from his wife.

  5. Sometimes you have to read between the lines to see the truth. There seems to be more behind the story than meets the eye and before convicting someone it would probably be better to know the whole truth. In this senario Mrs. Collins said that she took his phone, the phone had nothing to do with the exchanging of the child and Mr. Collins was attempting to get his phone back. She may have gotten a few scatches and a brusied ego but we have to be adults and take responsibility for our own actions. Maybe he should have called the police on her and filed charges for theft.

she has moved on with her life, check the records, she divorced him! The thing is if you knew them, you would know that both of them are great people, but I know personally that Landell asked his wife not to prosecute him, she even told the judge at the courtroom that she did not want him prosecuted, but to get mental health help. The funny thing about domestic violence is there are people on each side, but if he was a trained officer, he should have new better even if she did take the phone. Get the police reports, its public record! They arrested him, the police, not his wife, she didnt press charges, they were trying to force her to be against him. Get a clue, those of you who are angry, need to get therapy. Both of them are loving, just in a bad situation. If you knew Landell, he is a quite man, but has an anger problem, she is loving, and I know personally will do anything for you, but she is strong minded. Abuse is abuse. Look at the City of Cinti chief, still on the job after abusing his wife..wake up.

She is a doctor, and he is a police officer, so who in their right mind wants this to stay up? They have a son, this is my aunt and my uncle, those of you who don't know, stop making comments, its so old, and my aunt and uncle are divorced, she divorced him, but I want him, my uncle to get help.
