A 22-year veteran of the Dallas Police Department has been arrested on domestic violence charges. Police said Sr. Cpl. Randy Joe Alexander, 44, got into a verbal argument with his wife at their east Dallas home Thursday night. He allegedly pulled her hair and threatened to shoot her but according to a police report she didn't suffer any injuries. The woman left their home and called 911. Police went to Alexander's home and arrested him to prevent the possibility of further family violence, according to the report. He was charged with Class "C" assault which indicates family violence. He is on administrative leave while an internal investigation is conducted. [LINK]

DALLAS — A Dallas police officer has been accused of assaulting his wife in an incident that occurred Thursday evening in the White Rock area. Senior Cpl. Randy Joe Alexander, a 22-year-veteran, has been placed on administrative leave and an internal investigation will be conducted into the incident. He faces a Class C misdemeanor charge. The incident happened about 7:15 p.m. Thursday at the couple's home on Eastwood Drive, police said. Authorities say that Cpl. Alexander came home and got into a verbal argument with his wife before grabbing her hair. His wife also told police that he had threatened to shoot her, but a police report noted that the guns were locked up at the time he made the statement. Cpl.
