[CA] 7 years after retired Deputy Hogan did what he did -

Michelle Morgan (Hogan) McFadden
March 7, 1997 – March 26, 2002

In March of 2002 retired Santa Clara Deputy John Hogan timed his arrival at his ex-wife's house to be while she was out jogging. He entered the house - no one is sure how - he left a multi-page list about his bitter life on a bathroom sink, then shot and killed Christine McFadden's 3 children from a previous marriage - Melanie, Stuart, & Stanley Willis. Last he shot his own 5 year old daughter Michelle Hogan, and himself.

Stuart Richard Willis
August 31, 1987 – March 26, 2002

It was mentioned in news articles that he knew exactly how to kill them all quickly - exactly where to shoot. His moodiness and explosive temper are mentioned in those articles, a past protection order against him, fear of him, and his new profession as a private investigator - details repeated so often in this blog.

Over and over again.
Stanley Edward Willis
July 19, 1986 – March 26, 2002

And of course there is the "nobody saw this coming" and "no one could have known"... but there was voiced concern that he might harm himself - not the children. He loved his daughter Michelle, they say. He had access to her five days a week and alternating weekends. He didn't have to pay child support. He took little Michelle fishing and had a collage of her on top of his computer.

I will say, for the future what I have repeatedly said in the past - that any man you know that you think is capable of killing himself - consider him able to take others with him.

Could this have been prevented? I can't imagine a way.
He didn't warn anyone.
He used his stealth.

Melanie Lorraine Willis
November 14, 1984 - March 26, 2002

If you want to know more about this tragedy, here is the link to a Google search.

A couple of things:

Tom Willis, the dad of the three oldest murdered children is clinging to his faith - and hopes to forgive John Hogan one day. He is grateful that his children were Christians

...Without his faith, Tom Willis said he would not have been able to handle the loss of his children. "From the moment that I got the news, what I clung to was that my kids had known the Lord Jesus Christ... It's that hope that keeps me going. I can't imagine not being a Christian and going through this. I'd be on the floor... God has sustained me through this terrible crisis. Without God I would have a hopeless outlook. With God, I have hope"...

[NJ] Vanaman's guilty plea - Admits he's a liar but still gets to say Barbara picked up a knife?

Millville Police Sgt. Robert Vanaman "surprised" folks today with a guilty to manslaughter plea - and there is no sign that anyone questions his rendition that Barbara PICKED UP A KNIFE before he "just lost it" and shot her twice. And nobody asks why the gun was in his hand. Nobody will be able to ask why twice? No one will be able to grill him about the wickedness of cutting her after he killed her. No one will be able to ask why the children were down the street when this happened, and the defense attorney has now been able to mumble, as they all shuffle out of the courtroom, that his client really did feel threatened by dangerous Barbara before he murdered her ( and lied and lied and lied for all these days, weeks, months, and years). The attorney can and did imply that

Vanaman was just a man afraid
rather than a killer.

NOBODY ASKS, after the months of lies rolled into years of lies - why anyone should BELIEVE Robert Vanaman.

I don't.
People think today he admitted the truth,
but all I smell are more self-serving lies.
...Robert Vanaman, during his question session with the court and his attorneys, grew red faced and teary eyed with his voice wavering at points....

Barbara didn't cry today in court.
She didn't contradict his story either.
Barbara - couldn't be there today.

How easy is it for others to walk away from murder charges - and just SHAVE a couple of decades off their sentence this way? Is it really this easy?

I understand Barbara's family agreeing to the plea, but my heart will always interpret this as justice left undone. Robert will still be cute when he gets out - not even old.

From the time Sgt. Vanaman shot Barbara, he was allowed for six months to refuse to talk to police, he was allowed to LIVE IN THE MURDER SCENE, his POLICE CHIEF TOLD HIM HE COULD RETURN TO WORK WHENEVER HE WAS FEELING UP TO IT, and and worst of all - back and forth - he was allowed to have and lie to the children.

Every mother that I have talked to that was in fear for her life has had one major fear - that her feared one can kill her and still have the children.

Children deserve truth when someone, anyone, murders their mother.

Now the past - how Barbara's life was stolen - will always be muddled and blurred with the interpretations of whoever's telling the story.

I release this for today, and lift a prayer for all of those involved.

BRIDGETON---The murder trial was scheduled to get underway next Monday, but in a Cumberland County courtroom today, Robert Vanaman pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter in connection to the shooting death of his wife Barbara, in May 2006... "We're satisfied with the manslaughter plea," said Cumberland Co. Prosecutor, Ronald Casella, "....it was one that we discussed extensively with the family of the victim, they understood it and said that they were satisfied with it"... Today in front of the judge, Vanaman admitted that during a heated argument over "who was going to leave and who would stay with the children," "....she grabbed a steak knife," "....I lost it and shot her." Vanaman also pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence, admitting that after the shooting he took the knife and cut himself, in an attempt to show defensive wounds. Additionally it appears that the prosecution was going to introduce testimony that would show that Vanaman also made cuts on his wifes hands... [Full article here]

[Excerpts] ...Vanaman spoke in a soft voice as he confirmed this afternoon that he wished to enter a guilty plea. In accepting the guilty plea, he described what happened on May 11, 2006, the night his wife was shot and killed... "Barbara and I had a heated argument in the home. She grabbed a steak knife. I lost it. I overreacted and shot her two times," Vanaman said. "I knew that all shootings as a Millville police officer are investigated. I realized it was a stupid thing to do, (but) I picked up the broken blade of the knife and cut myself"... Vanaman was visibly and audibly upset. O'Neill placed his hand on his client's back. Vanaman told Superior Court Judge Martin Herman that he was making this plea of his own free will and was not coerced into pleading guilty.= "Are you in a clear mind?" Herman asked. "Absolutely, sir," Vanaman replied. Nodding in agreement as Herman spoke, Vanaman said he understood that he would have to serve 85 percent of his sentence before being eligible for parole. First Assistant Prosecutor Ken Pagliughi said that he has requested the two sentences be serve consecutively. That could be a potential 11 1/2 years in prison... His sentencing is scheduled for April 27 at 9 a.m. Pagliughi asked that the sentencing be expedited, to which Vanaman's defense attorneys objected... Pagliughi said he was concerned because Vanaman was out on bail. His passport has been revoked. [Full article here]

[Excerpts] Schenectady Police Officer Kyle Hunter was arrested Friday. He's accused of taking his girlfriend's car without permission. This comes less than a week after the mayor met with the attorney general about possibly disbanding the department altogether. Officer Hunter is accused of driving off in his girlfriend's car as she told him to stop. "Additionally she called him up and asked him to return the vehicle and he responded with a pretty obnoxious and profane response basically saying I'm not bringing it back," said Schenectady Police Chief Mark Chaires... He says officers went searching for Hunter, and found him several hours later. He was arrested and spent the night in the police lock up... Earlier this week Schenectady Mayor Brian Stratton said he's talking with State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo about dissolving the police department altogether. [Excerpts] One day after Mayor Brian U. Stratton was blasted for proposing the trouble-plagued city police department be replaced by a county agency, a city patrolman was taken into custody for allegedly taking his girlfriend's car without her permission. When Patrolman Kyle Hunter was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle Friday night, he joined a long list of Electric City officers on the wrong end of the law... Chief Mark Chaires said Hunter already was under internal investigation for alleged abuse of extended sick leave and other violations. He also once lost his service weapon and "took his sweet time informing us that he'd lost something that could kill someone," Chaires said. "They found it in a Dumpster or something like that," Stratton said... "He's in line to be terminated," Chaires said. "No question about that. He will not be here." The chief extended that message to any officer found guilty of wrongdoing. "We're cleaning house"... [Full article here]

SUBJECT: HERE IS JUST SOME OF WHAT I AM GOING THROUGH...

To whom it may concern: Can someone please tell me how a man with repeated domestic and family violence issues tries to kill me and the grand juries in Jenkins County Georgia not indict him? Were they deaf? Were they dumb? Were they blind? Or was it that I just wasn’t given a fair shake? Is it because Gregory Paul McGahee’s son is a police officer in Brooklet? His name is Jonathan McGahee. Jonathan is good buddies with the district attorney on this case. I have been told over and over that he would get away with it because his son is a cop. The district attorney emailed Gregs subpoena to his son Jonathan. When he did that, Greg called me to gloat. “My son is good buddies with the DA, I’m not worried. I know I will get off.” There is a definite conflict of interest here in this case. I WANT THIS INVESTIGATED—PROPERLY... I spent 3 days in the hospital and he spent 7 in jail. I carried a bruised face for nearly 5 months. We have photos, EMT reports, the arresting officer’s statement, hospital records and even his very own confession. He started off beating me with a pipe and then tortured me for over an hour. His father, both of his brothers and himself all have been in jail repeatedly for domestic violence issues. I was not allowed to speak other than answering a few questions. I was always stopped by the short red haired fellow with the district attorneys office. I was never given a chance. You can believe the conspiracy was there. My only bad choice in this would be that I let him move back in after the incident. Just like 99% of all victims do. I loved him. He used that to his advantage. He used my own love against me. Greg retired from the Army in 2002. He moved his German wife and their 2 year old daughter back to Statesboro Georgia. Just nine months later he beat his wife so severely with a belt, that safe haven put her and their daughter on a plane back to Germany. They have not been seen since. The charges were dismissed because she didn’t show for court-uh, of course not she was in another country. I have a huge compilation of evidence that proves beyond a reasonable doubt of his past and present violence. A lot of it in his own handwriting. Any of the evidence alone should have been enough for an indictment. So, then why was he not indicted? I was told by safe haven that it was because the way the district attorney presented the case. I guess since the district attorney and Jonathan, (Greg’s son who is a cop) are the good friend is why it was done like it was. Dirty. I have rights and they have been violated. I was not given a fair shake to even try to tell my side. Now, they are acting like I have done something to him. How sickening is that? This guy is retired special forces (green beret).Anyone who has ever dealt with this kind of situation knows what I am talking about. I know exactly how the Brown’s and Goldman families felt when they found O.J Simpson not guilty. Abused, tortured and mentally raped all over again. I was told by a district attorney investigator to just let it go. I refuse to take this lying down. It is not an option. I will go until we hit the Supreme Court. It does not matter to me. I will do everything in my power to see that he never puts another woman in that kind of living hell ever again. I still have physical and mental issues stemming from this case. I will have for years to come. He has walked away ever time he put his hands on a woman unscathed. I refuse to be the only one to suffer. Nothing I could have ever done would have warranted a beating like I took. He is a trained killer. Trained by our government to protect our country, not to use his hand to hand combat skills on them. I have some of the pictures, police reports and other documentation is posted on MySpace.

Type in this URL- http://www.myspace.com/specialone2u Click on pics and go to the GREGORY PAUL MCGAHEE album. What defines domestic violence? Did I have to die before they would indict him? Is someone else going to be as lucky as I was to make it out alive? If anyone wants to contact me the information is as follows. I am on disability with a brain tumor. So financially it’s almost impossible to hire an attorney but I will continue to work on things as best I can. I need your help. This matter needs investigated. I want a fair trial and I want to file civil suit against GREGORY PAUL MCGAHEE and his resources. Do I have to just deal with this “good ole boy” mentality in this hick town? Those who aren’t unfortunate enough to know him will figure him out. God, I hope it’s not too late when they do. I need help legal help.

[WA] Protection order against Officer Peter Leutz is not Seattle Police concern?

...The woman-who works with the US Attorney's office-says the officer has physically intimidated her and sent her threatening text messages, including one that read, "The games have begun now, have fun"...

PROTECTION ORDER FILED AGAINST SEATTLE POLICE OFFICER
The Stranger
Posted by Jonah Spangenthal-Lee
Friday, March 27, 2009
A King County Superior Court commissioner has granted a Lynnwood woman a temporary protection order against her husband, a Seattle Police Department officer. According a court filing, the couple separated two weeks ago. Since then, the woman says the officer has exhibited "intimidating" behavior and that his "statements and actions are becoming increasingly more erratic and unpredictable"... The woman-who works with the US Attorney's office-says the officer has physically intimidated her and sent her threatening text messages, including one that read, "The games have begun now, have fun." The woman also claims the officer told her he would "stop paying any bills and see that [the woman and her 4-year-old son]…were homeless... He is very aware of how far he can go before he could 'get in trouble'. I feel that he uses that knowledge to intimidate me," the woman wrote in her filing. The officer has been with SPD for five years, and was previously involved in the shooting of a 13-year-old boy in the Central District, after the teen pulled out a cell phone, which the officer believed was a gun... Seattle Police Department spokesman Sean Whitcomb says the department is aware of the protection order and is monitoring the situation. "At this point and time, this appears to be strictly civil and we are not taking any action," Whitcomb says. On Monday, Seattle Police officer Scott Moss was charged with assaulting his wife in their home near Sammamish. According to a statistics from the National Center for Women and Policing, domestic violence occurs at least 40% of law enforcement families. [Full article here]

[Excerpts] BRIDGETON - The prosecutor arguing the state's murder case against a suspended Millville police officer revealed in court Wednesday that evidence suggests Sgt. Robert Vanaman cut his wife's hands in the moments after he shot her. First Assistant Prosecutor Ken Pagliughi said state Medical Examiner Dr. Lyla Perez is scheduled to testify about the significance of the "bloodless cuts" she observed on Barbara Vanaman's hands during the slain woman's autopsy... According to Pagliughi, the cuts were bloodless because Barbara Vanaman's blood pressure had already dropped considerably from the bleeding caused by the two bullet wounds in her chest... [Excerpts] An air of sadness has filled Montezuma City Hall as elected and non-elected staff members mourn the loss of City Councilman Cordel Jackson, 51. Jackson, who was a husband and father of three, was discovered some time around 5 p.m. on Saturday on James Khoury Boulevard in Peach County by two passersby... Jackson, who had served as a captain and investigator with the Peach County Sheriff’s Office, had been in “his private vehicle and was wearing civilian clothes.” As for the reasoning behind the suicide, Rooks couldn’t answer, though he did say, “The sheriff (Terry W. Deese) told me that Cordel had been suffering from depression for the last few weeks.” Rooks continued, “Cordel was a real asset to this community and will really be missed.” He said, “I had known him for about 20 years, and I can say that he never exhibited any of these tendencies that would lead anyone to think he could do this. He was always very helpful and friendly”... Roy Barker, a fellow Montezuma City Councilman, said simply, “He was a good man... Cordel was sort of a blunt person, and he told you what he thought, but there wasn’t anything wrong with that... He made you think and challenged you to stand up for what was right... He was always willing to help people.” Camille Bielby, Downtown Development manager, said, “Cordel Jackson was an amazing supporter. Sometimes, it took some convincing, but once he understood the mission, he was behind you 100 percent”... [Full article here]

"I really, really think he's going to kill me," Linda Curley said to a Ramapo police sergeant during a call in July 2006 after she reported being followed by her husband in a car. A recording of that call was played for a federal jury in White Plains yesterday... James Curley returned home to their apartment one night in 1991 after a night out drinking. Curley could face a disciplinary hearing after the criminal trial as town officials and ranking police officials look to fire him from the police department. A criminal conviction means automatic dismissal, though he could always file a lawsuit. Curley has been held in federal custody since June “as a danger to the community and as a “flight risk” on orders from Robinson. The judge’s no-bail decision came after he viewed a DVD provided by federal prosecutors that showed Curley fleeing New Jersey police officers trying to arrest him, with one officer getting hurt... The Town Board fired Curley last year after a hearing but a state judge rescinded the decision based on technical errors... The pending disciplinary charges involves issues with his wife and violating department policy. He also faces disciplinary charges from his arrest in New Jersey... Steve Lieberman
March 16, 2009
[Excerpts] ...Linda Curley's demeanor went from happy and cheerful to nervous and jumpy after her husband James Curley, a former Ramapo police officer, filed for divorce in July 2006, according to their day-care provider... [The daycarae director] said that after the papers were filed, Linda Curley said she feared for her life, that her husband had been verbally and at times physically abusive. "She told me she was afraid he was going to kill her, and that if she disappeared, it was probably him," Debellis said, testifying that Linda Curley told her she had been afraid to go to the police because her husband was a police officer. Testimony also was given about the GPS tracking device which James Curley is charged with putting in Linda Curley's car. He maintains he put the device in her car because he thought she was having an affair and wanted to get evidence for the divorce case. The prosecution showed that James Curley and Edward Holland checked the GPS information online. Holland had ordered the tracking device and its computer software for James Curley. The trial will continue this afternoon, with the prosecution planning to show video of James Curley's arrest... [Full article here] t['

[Excerpts] A former Ramapo police officer was found guilty Thursday on two counts of stalking and one count of violating a protection order when he harassed his estranged wife and threatened to kill her in 2006, according to the U.S. Attorney of the Southern District of New York. Authorities said James Curley, 44, of Suffern, N.Y., in the summer of 2006 told his estranged wife on multiple occasions he was going to kill her. According to authorities, Curley told his estranged wife on one occasion he would leave her in a pool of her own blood, and on another occasion told her he had found place to kill her where no one could hear her scream. A Valparaiso police patrolman was arrested early Saturday and accused of battery. Porter County Police said Paul Kennedy threw a woman to the floor, kneeled on her and choked her with one hand while covering her mouth with the other. Porter County police responded to Kennedy's Center Township home at 1 a.m. Saturday, where he was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery. Valparaiso police spokesman Sgt. Michael Grennes said an internal investigation is underway, and is being carried out by the assistant chief. Kennedy has been on medical leave since the start of the year, Grennes said. Police officers in the state are required to undergo four hours of training each year on how to respond to domestic violence cases, said Porter County Deputy Prosecutor Tammy Gregg. Gregg, who serves as domestic violence supervisor for the office, offered training last Wednesday, but said Kennedy did not take part in that particular class. Some departments offer their own classes, she said. [Full article here]

[Excerpts] Subjects taking a polygraph test usually aren't wearing a sheriff's badge. After doing so Thursday, it's quite possible Spartanburg County Deputy Chad Bagwell will not wear a badge again. Bagwell was fired Thursday evening after admitting to possessing and viewing between 500 and 1,000 images of child pornography, Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright said Friday at a news conference. Wright said Bagwell's admission was taken after the lie detector test... Wright said Bagwell's wife delivered a floppy disk containing 40 'inappropriate images' of child pornography to the sheriff's office last week. 'I'm obviously going to investigate that,' Wright said. 'It's very upsetting. … We take an oath before God and everyone to uphold the law'... Bagwell and his wife have children together but have been separated for several months, Wright said, adding that the Bagwells' children would not be placed into protective custody because they live with their mother. Wright said deputies examined the floppy disk and in 37 of the 40 images, it was not possible to determine the ages of the children, but in three images it was 'really obvious' that the child engaged in a sexual act was not older than 10. 'It's just disturbing,' said Wright, adding that other deputies who learned about the situation Friday afternoon were 'just sick about it'... [Full article here]

[Excerpts] A Seattle Police Department spokesman has been temporarily reassigned after he was arrested by a state trooper earlier this month on suspicion of drinking and driving near Bremerton. On April 2 around 2 a.m., a trooper stopped Officer Scott Moss, who was driving 10 mph over the 35-mph speed limit on Kitsap Way, just outside the Bremerton city limits... The trooper noticed signs of alcohol use and asked Moss to perform field-sobriety tests. Moss' personal car was impounded, and he was taken to a local police station for a blood-alcohol test, but George could not say what the results were... Moss was later taken to a nearby residence and was released with a driving-under-the-influence (DUI) citation... [Excerpts] A jealous dirty ex-cop claimed he was "in a trance" and on the verge of suicide when he "accidentally" killed his girlfriend and wounded her best friend, it was revealed Friday. The chilling, self-serving statement was released as Jerry Bowens was arraigned on murder and other charges in the March 8 shooting of gal pal Catherine Donofrio and Melissa Simmons. "When I lifted up the gun, it accidentally went off, striking Catherine in the head," Jerry Bowens told investigators after he was arrested... Lawyer Wayne Bodden pleaded not guilty for Bowens and requested a mental examination for his client. Bowens' previous lawyer, Edward Mandery, was taken off the case after prosecutors said he was on a death list Bowens kept. When Donofrio was killed, Mandery had been representing Bowens in a drug scandal involving four other Brooklyn narcotics cops. Bowens pleaded guilty, was kicked off the force and was set to testify against his former colleagues when he went into a jealous rage at Simmons' apartment, cops said... "I remember seeing Melissa outside screaming about someone being shot in the building, but I didn't know who she was talking about," he said. Simmons miraculously survived despite being shot in the head... [Full article here]

PSYCHO EX-COP JERRY BOWENS PUT HIS OWN ATTORNEY ON 'HIT LIST'

[Excerpts] The lawyer for a dirty ex-cop accused of murder is off the case after his name was found on his client's hit list, sources said. Disgraced cop Jerry Bowens wasn't satisfied with the no-jail plea deal lawyer Edward Mandery got for him in an unrelated drug case, law enforcement sources said. Mandery's name was on a hit list Bowens had when he was arrested March 9 for killing his ex-girlfriend, Catherine Donofrio, 28, and wounding her friend, Melissa Simmons, on a March 8 rampage. Donofrio topped the cop's hit list, and Simmons was next, sources said. Two other exes were on Bowens' list, along with the NYPD Internal Affairs sergeant who probed drug charges against him and Mandery, who had negotiated the plea deal, police sources said. The last entry on Bowens' list: "Me"... Fellow cops said suspects always considered Bowens a rogue. They called him "Alonzo" after Denzel Washington's bad cop in the film "Training Day," said one cop. "That was his nickname long before any of this surfaced," he said. [Full article here]

[NC] AT COP CLUB, (RACIST?) OFFICER AHMED BLAKE ATTACKS GIRLFRIEND & WOMAN WHO TRIES TO HELP - HE'S NOT ARRESTED & GETS A 2 WEEK SUSPENDED SENTENCE

This officer is reported to have attacked two women and was not arrested that night.

[Excerpts] ....[Greensboro Police Officer Ahmed Joseph "AJ"] Blake’s two-week sentence will be suspended for three years... The assaults were said to have occurred as the party was ending... Blake allegedly hurls racial slurs at his Hispanic girlfriend. Does this make it a hate crime?... How many drunk police had their firearms that night? If a cop assaults his wife or girlfriend they are supposed to be arrested on the spot. There are no rules allowing anything else....

Sometimes I have to doubt myself. I went reading around the internet on this (dare I say drunken?) double assault, and I keep thinking "Am I understanding this?" Greensboro Officer Ahmed Joseph Blake attacks his girlfriend outside of the private Police Club at 4 in the morning - but the initial police report doesn't even mention her. It names as the only (#1) victim another woman - a 20 year criminal justice professional - who was attacked by Blake when she tried to intervene. And the police report says no alcohol was involved? Really? Who could think that? And the initial police report says simple assault instead of the required (and unconstitutional) "assault on a female"? Was the officer writing the report a friend of Blake's - or was that just the standard (and expected in Greensboro?) brotherhood courtesy?

Notice that Blake's girlfriend, her safety, her support - are not mentioned here.

I-SPY a police department sorely in need of a specific policy for handling officer-involved domestic violence - a policy to be followed.

CITY OFFICER FOUND GUILTY OF ASSAULT
Greensboro News Record, NC -
By Sonja Elmquist sonja.elmquist@news-record.com
Saturday, March 21
A Greensboro police officer was found guilty of two counts of assault on a female Friday in Guilford County District Court. In delivering his verdict, Chief District Court Judge Joseph Turner said he also was disappointed in the police leaders at the party for allowing the apparently alcohol-fueled assaults to take place. “Reluctantly and sadly, I find you guilty on both charges,” Turner said to officer A.J. Blake. Blake was accused of grabbing, pushing and kicking his girlfriend and of grabbing another officer’s girlfriend by her neck. The party, attended mainly by police and their spouses or dates, was held Jan. 16 at the Greensboro Police Club... The assaults were said to have occurred as the party was ending early Jan. 17. Blake’s two-week sentence will be suspended for three years as long as Blake completes a domestic violence training course and commits no further assaults on his girlfriend Sandra Sanchez or Lorraine Galloway. Blake also may lose his ability to work in law enforcement because the N.C. Training and Standards Commission does not allow anyone with a domestic assault conviction to be a law enforcement officer. Blake’s attorney, Ken Free, notified Turner after the sentencing that he would appeal the decision to Superior Court. All the witnesses called who had been at the party testified they had been drinking and that Blake and Sanchez had an argument. Officer C.M. Schultheis and Galloway, both guests at the party, testified they saw Blake assault Sanchez as the pair was leaving the party. Schultheis said he saw Blake push Sanchez’s back and Galloway said she saw Blake kick Sanchez outside of the police club. Sanchez said she had not been assaulted but had stumbled outside of the club when her high-heeled shoe became stuck between wooden planks on the porch. A crime scene investigator testified she hadn’t seen any dirt or marks on Sanchez’s white jacket or any bruises to indicate she had been kicked. But Turner said he didn’t find Sanchez to be credible. Galloway said Blake turned on her when she remarked on the kick she saw him deliver to Sanchez. “I stood in the doorway and said, 'You’re not going to do that anymore,’” Galloway said. “He turned toward me and that’s when he grabbed me by the throat — he had a strong grip — and threw me back into the police club building”...
