i know for a fact he told her to come to his house that night because i have a copy of the text messages.so who ever you are you need to get your facts straight.Delete
Family members of the shooter - usually a sister or mom - comment on this blog all the time - almost in every shooting death - how it's the victim's fault.Delete
Notice even the reason he was a cop for such a short time is someone else's fault.
Normally I don't like to leave up these blame-the-victim-for-her-own-murder kind of comments, so I'm surprised I allowed that here. If you want me to remove it I will. But we know it was MURDER:.

DE QUEEN, Ark. -- Trial begins today for former Murfreesboro, Ark., police officer Daniel Gardner, who is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of his girlfriend, Marie Cogburn.
Gardner, of Nashville, is being tried at the Sevier County Courthouse in De Queen.
I suppose none of you guys saw Marie in the funeral home, they tried very hard to cover the bruises and the broken nose with makeup, but it was very clear he first beat the hell out of her, then shot her,he had to weigh at least twice her weight,he could have easily man handled her out the door any moment he chose, without a weapon....He is indeed a "coward" and a "cold blooded murderer"....Her three children will agree with me, I am sure....Hope to see you all in court, January 21, 2010.....Just know that we are aware of the "good ole boys system" and hope this is not a case in which it is used, but if it turns out that way, I can rest assured my Lord will handle him, he cannot plea bargain at the gates!!!ReplyDelete
Please elaborate on this. How was he controlling and verbally abusive back then, and with who?Delete
January 21st. Okay. Please keep me informed.ReplyDelete
I went to school with this person. He was very controlling and verbally and emotionally abusive at the age of 17-18. It is not the victim's fault. Danny was a damaged person even back then. How he ever became a police officer surprises and frightens me.ReplyDelete
There are so many posts on this blog, but more importantly there are so many lives lost here. Each murder is so tragic and such a theft. Such a loss.ReplyDelete
